COOL! Let us know how it runs, not many people with YANK SS converters around.

I bought a YANK SS4000E, it should be here any day now.

My car is going to be totally sick. As we speak I am putting in a brand new forge 346ci with 5.3 GTP Stage II Heads and TR230/224 cam.

I'm running a TH400 with 2.75 1st gear, reverse manual valve body and transbrake.

My new setup is going to be very interesting on the streets

Is this the first higher stall TC for your car? If so, it will light your eyes (and tires) up.
I've been happy with my ST3500, except on damp roads.

I finally got the SS 3800 installed, it is still being broke in.....love it so far though!!! Drives like a 2800 stall, but lays tire marks for hundreds of feet!!! You will really like it, especially for daily driving!!!!

I've got a Yank Super Thruster 3000/2.2 with a kevlar clutch now that developed
chatter at light throttle application after 2k. Car puts out 299 rwhp/320 ft lbs torque. The first 2 times, it was severe enough to shake your fillings loose. 4 oz of Lube Guard Friction Modifier and a B&M Shift+ helped lessen it but it's still a PITA sometimes-totally unpredictable as to when it occurs. Car just doesn't like being lugged along at 40 mph in OD. Shift extension is around 42-4300 and it was a pleasure to drive until the chatter issue cropped up. Traction is livable with street tires.
Yank offered to upgrade the clutch material to carbon for $150 plus shipping but by the time I paid for 2 installs, the upgrade and shipping both ways, and no gaurentee that the problem would solved, it made more sense to replace it.
I was leery of going to 3600 stall but, supposedly, it drives like a 2800 until you mash it.
It sure is light, I had to open the box to make sure something was in there.

Poncho,

let us know how you like the SS3600. I am looking at gettign this TC for my 01 Vette this week. I was going to get the SY3500 since I will be on the street the most, but I am thinking of running the soon to be out 18" Nitto Drag radial on the rears and regular Nittos on the front ALL THE TIME. Then the SS3600 should be a Blast Oh Ya, I have 3.15's now and am installing 3.42's with whatecver TC I end up with.

Later

I've had my SS3800 for about 4 months now and I love it. The weather in Virginia is finally starting to warm up, so hopefully I'll get to the track soon. Hope you have some ET Streets for traction. I just ordered a set.

HOORAY. Monday is the big day.
Could do it tomorrow but it's supposed to snow all day, today.
The roads (CT) have enough sand on them already to start your own beach party.
