We had been waiting for the custom Tranny pan to come in from Moroso so Circle D could start with the Transbrake install. I got the call last week and they knocked it out in a few days. Dave even installed an awesome tranny/rearend catch can to protect us from any extreme heat fluid burping. We definitely didn't want any fluids under the tires going down the track. He tied the tranny vent and rearend vent in together and mounted the catch can in the rear where it's safe and out of the way. I think it looks trick! The bottom of the car is filthy, but we are running dumped torque tubes and the carbon up the bottom pretty quick.
We went out to the track for some testing this weekend. The firt pass was at 4000rpm off the 2-step and holy cow it hit hard.lol. It never hooked solid, but the track was questionable and I was trying to get use to the new transbrake. I dropped it down to 3500rpm and then 3200rpm. It matched our footbrake 60fts a few times, but still spun a bit. It sounds nasty staging up. Once MadMan gets his hands on it we'll have her sticking.
Chris at Circle D built us a slightly softer hitting TC to keep us from putting the car on the bumper again. We definitely don't need that again.lol.
A special thanks goes out to the crew at Circle D!!!!!!

The torque tubes are just 18" extensions off the collector with turn-downs. They slide on and off as easy as the mufflers, but less weight
The TA relocation bracket is for the stock length aftermarket TAs and gets the TA off the tranny tailhousing as well as allows instant center adjustments.
I'd be surprised if the TB improved the 60ft much since we leave so hard off the footbrake already. I needed it to compete in heads up index races on a .400 Pro-Tree. That's where the $$$ is
Thanks guys!

That Moroso pan looks great. I wonder if a trans brake on a 4L60 will hurt the durability of the tranny, I am running an Index class here in FL and a Tbrake would really help my RT on a Pro tree.
I cant believe you are using an aluminum driveshaft, I've broken 2 of the HD aluminum DS (but I'm 3685lbs).

I don't expect the tranny to give because of the transbrake unless it shears an input shaft, but I hope we have that covered
The transmission operates just like stock exept the transbrake can be activated in Drive. I still stab and steer
There is no holding the TB button to back-up or anything like that.
It's cool!

Yes it is a Rossler Transbrake. He is the only onr who makes them and has the patent on it for the 4L60/80Es. There's only a handful of people that can do the 4L60e transbrake install though. Circle D did my install and did me right! They are a sponsor and located in Houston -->
We ordered it from Rossler and installed it for TXCAMSS. Very nice looking piece, a lot of R & D went into it. I spoke to Carl about it, very smart guy. A lot of stuff to get it working, not for the rookie.

How big of a stall are you running with this new t/brake? Are you manually shifting your 4L60E? or just set the shifter @ D? when utilizing the brake. Sorry with all this ?'s

The current converter is a 4600ish stall and we are using a 2-step to get the right launch rpm.
We just put it in D and then Stab n Steer.
No problem with the questions.
