What do you perfer?

I junked my t56 set up for a th400.
For a track car, auto all the way. For a street car in an area with low to moderate traffic, M6 for me please.
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
Pros and cons
fun to drive
can rev it up to whatever you want and dump it.
harder on rear ends.
clutches are wear items.
factory clutch is weak once you up the power.
gm hydraulics can be annoying.
not fun to drive in heavy traffic
don't work as well for turbo cars. you can use two step or antilag to help build boost with manuals though.
less drivetrain loss
two overdrives which can make higher rear end gears more practical. Like 4.10 can make sixth actually useful.
noisy, gear noise ,shifter rattle especially when you go wot.
Autos
Pros and cons.
not as fun to drive although paddle shifted auto would be more fun.
nice in heavy traffic.
nice launch with a good stall
not as hard on rear ends
good for turbo cars to build boost and hold it better between shifts.
less noisy than standards..no shifter rattle ,gear rattle.clutch twin disc floater rattle.
only one overdrive unless you swap in six speed auto
more hp loss than manuals.
can't rev it to whatever you want and just let it rip like manual.
more expensive if you want a really built up one it seems.
heavier than manual.
Sorry didn't bother capitalizing stuff.
That said am sick of manuals had them in my 96 ta, 97 ta ws6 and my 99 ta ws6. Have auto in my 96z vert.
I am sick of shifting in traffic, sick of twin disc floater rattle its not that loud but its there, sick of clutches even though tex twin is working good had terrible luck in past with clutches, masters, slaves. shifting at high rpm..
Any future car I buy will be auto and hopefully six speed minimum with paddle shifting. No more clutches for me.
The "feeling" in an M6 is one of shock/release/shock/release, which really demonstrates the power. A passenger gets a very strong impression in an M6 car.
The feeling in an A4 is a steady rush into the power and it's an illusion that it's not as fast, in reality it's faster (at least off the line and in 1/4 mile).
All that being said I'm thinking of putting in the rmvb 400 I have sitting in the garage into the car.
