Default UPDATE:::::Help dont know whats going on not driveable!!!! converter **** the bed?

Alright well i posted earlier about my stall not locking up. Well on the way home from work i went to take off from a light and it just reved. was hardy going. I pulled over and shut it off. Started it up about a min later. Still was acting really funny but i managed to make it back about 1/4 mile up the road when it started to slip again. It sounded like it was missing then it would slow down. Like a fuel cut off or something but then it would regain power a sec later. I had to keep shutting it off and i guess letting it cool down, to make it home..I could get it up to speed then it would start stumbling and just free reving again. Wth is up????????????? Checked my fluid and it looked fine still a red color. Did my converter mess up? Its a TCI3500, and like i stated earlier was not locking up all day yesterday or today. Went to the track on friday though never any sign of a problem then or on the way home. Just started not locking up yesterday, and 20min ago on the way home began this. I really would appreciate any input on this. I need it fixed its my DD..I just bought a new built 4l60e and have put about 1,000 miles on it. The converter was out of the old tranny, which has been out while the stock stall has been in..Just put the TCI back in when i got the new trans...I sure hope the new tranny didnt go with it....

UPDATE:::::
Put fluid back in it today.. worked perfect just didnt lock up like it was doing. Didnt drive to far..probably a mile total..but i let it heat up good and all...im so damn confused

They both share the same fluid, did any metal shavings go from one to the other? Do you have a trans cooler?

yes i have a trans cooler. I havent taken it apart i just got home..the fluid smells kinda yucky..I dont mind getting another converter i just dont want the tranny to be toast. I JUST bought a new not to long ago. It also wouldnt be the tranny pump would it since it would go into gear after i let it sit for a min...????????

If you had a trans burn up with that same stall and did not clean that stall before installing it on your new trans, metal shavings could have gotten into your trans pump. Drain the fluid and see what it looks like.

Well the converter was taken out before the trans starting slipping and was replaced. Had the stock stall in it. Ive put the TCI converter in the new trans and have had it in for about a month or so without any problems. Just started not locking up yesterday and now this happened.

My work is only a few miles away from my house..I just took the pan off and there was a few very very small pieces of metal in it..But thats normal right? Nothing really big or out of the ordinary. I snaped some pics. At the bottom of the pan theres a little black thing. Guessing thats where its suppost to catch dirt/metal shavings??? nothing to bad there either

fluid wasnt black like that untill i rubbed my finger around it

It wasnt like that untill i rubbed my finger over that black thing. It got dirty after i did that. And it wasnt shavings on the black piece. I checked after i posted up the picture but i guess it was just reflection, even though there were a few very very small pieces in there. Thats normal though right????

you really need to get it checked out man could save you alot of money by getting it checked rather than running it and destroying hard parts at this point may just need a VB cleaning and some frictions
