Default Car surging in OD....

Ok, to fill you in, I just had a nitrous plate kit with a WOT installed. At the same time I had a my converter flushed out and a built transmission installed also. Now when my car is in OD and the converter locks up, with my foot on the gas, my car will surge. The rpms go up and down about 400 rpms. Kinda like im doing it on purpose by tapping the gas. My car never did this before the installs. I have a dyno tune and it ran fine before. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I know my stall does that when I'm in OD cruising and I just give it a little bit more throttle and it will surge a little, not 400rpm's though.

yea, thats actually normal. Are you sure its 400 rpms. make sure to look at it carefully when it does it again. More of a light buck a couple of times and then straightens out is normal.

No guys this is not normal. The car never done this before, ever. Trust me, it is about 400 rpms. I did watch it closely. Even my girlfriend was like what the hell is that.

I would get a scanner of it and see whats being commanded as far as lockup possibly engine missfire enable and disable on it, 400 RPM is not alot and could be the lockup especially if you have a stall

But why all the sudden? There has been no change in the tune at all. I do not understand why it would just start doing this.

So I would need a whole new tune if that is the case? How exactly would I find out? Thanks.

Again get it on a tuner or scanner and watch the data and see what its being commanded is the only way to make that determination.
