I have had the TCI and now have the B&M cast aluminum pan. Both are good pieces. Just remember when you go with any deep trans pan, to also go with the longer pick up kit. Good luck with whatever you choose, more fluid is always better.

x2 on the lowered cars.
If you put one on a car lower than stock, go for the steel one, at least it will bend.

You are only going to whack a cast aluminum one on a speed bump once real hard. That will be a horrble mess. Do some measuring.

I have the B&M 3Qt deeper pan, installed on my stock height 2001 Z28, and I would not recommend it on a lowered car.

I use a BTE aluminum pan. I feel the benefits are the extra oil, and it is somewhat of a girdle for strength. As far as ground clearance, it is even with my Kooks 3" ORY.

Go with the OEM truck pan. You don't have alot of weight because it is a stamped steel pan. I think the theory is that it adds volume to the system and therefore enhances cooling of providing more transmission fluid.

Then again you could go with a transmission cooler and the extra capacity needed for the lines, hardware would be another way of increasing the capacity and get real cooling because you'd have to add more fluid to the system.
