mine went from a 1.8 60' to a 1.6 60' by just adding the 2step on the foot brake @ 2800rpms. There is one for like 200 shipped in the for sale section so you can save a few bux while picking up that 60'.

I've never seen one, does someone make a trans brake for a 4L60E?

Anyone use the 2 step built into the Big Stuff 3 on an auto without a brake?

I tried mine like that and couldn't build any more boost on the 2-step than off. It didn't help me any. I could be because I had to set it at around 2100 rpm to keep from overpowering the brakes.

Have you tried the old Buick GN trick of doing a high neutral rev and slamming the brakes at peak VAC for more power brake assist?

I just bought the a 2 step off another member so i guess we will find out. If it doesnt work now ill still need it for when i get a t-brake. And yes Rossler makes a t-brake for the 4l60e.

I'm not sure why that would work on GN's, since they use electric vacuum pumps for the power brake assist.

I suppose so. Either way, I'm not sure that engine vacuum affects/helps them work.

It was a GN guy that told me about it, but he could have been referring to some other turbo car.

Rossler does, but i heard even with their t-brake for the 4l60e the case strength comes into play.

Putting a trans brake on a 4L60E is like putting a new set of **** on a dead woman. Both are pointless and worthless.

Agreed, that is a ticking time bomb. It might work for a while behind moderate horsepower.
