Default Vigilante 3600

I have a Vig. 3600 and I only MPH @ 108, I need to figure out if I can send my converter back to Vig. to get it tightened up or is this just what I have to deal with?

before my vig3600 i only trapped 106, then right after I went to 109.

It took me time to learn the launch and figure the car out before I got 112 traps stock with it

If I 60'ed crappy my MPH was way off. If I hooked to a 1.6 or so 60 my mph hits 112. Also in hot air no one will MPH high. If you dont have headers thats about the best MPH you will see, but i dont have a clue to what mods you have??

I foot brake it to about 3000, and then slam it.....it pulls the wheels but only cuts a 1.7x 60' and only mph about 108....PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You really don't need those ET Drags, too much tire really, all you need it a good set of Hoosier QTP or ET Streets if you are stock internal. Also try stalling it to about 1500, that is where I have gotten the best results out of my 3600.

what kind of air pressure you running in those ET Drags sean?

Since you got rid of the TNT Kit, you may need to kick it up to 20+ PSI or go with a set of ET Streets to get rid of some of that resistance.

I personally think a 26x10.5 or 26x11.5 ET Street on your Prostars would be plenty with your stock internal car.

I ALWAYS got my best 60's when I footbraked the car to 1000 - 1100, and then hammered it from there. best 60 was 1.44 on the spray, and 150 without.

Anything more than that just roasted the tires. I set the tires at 14-15 lbs. No matter if it was the Drags, or the Streets. Good luck.

Just to give you kind of a basis to go by I trap around 110 mph with the same mods as you with a ST3500 converter. Ive heard that this converter and the VIG3200 are pretty similar.

heck, i dont think I can stall mine to 3000 without the tires breakin loose... But then again I have never stalled up past 1800 anyway

if you're runnin to little air on this ET STREETS its gonna kill your mph up top. I ran 21 psi in mine and hooked to a 1.55 cam only.

But nittos worked fine before my cam. If you have et streets its really no point in running below 20psi if you are a bolt on car and track prep is decent. Hell I bet 24-26 woulda hooked on my et streets bolt on only

I appreciate all the info. It seems I am stalling up to high huh. I have the e.t drags for when I spray. I still have the kit just set up different, but either way I am on gas, I will try the lower stall speed, and more air pressure and see what happens, I am going for some 12.0 best i have gotten is 12.2 but i have modded more since then too, we'll see. Next is a cam and a fuel pump and back to the juice we go.

It's interesting seeing where everyone launches from. For some reason I always get my best times launching at 1800 rpm and thats with a Vig2800. I cut 1.58 60'.

SSean

keep in mind stalling up is better for spray, but leaving closer to idle is better for NA with vigs

so have u been 12.2 on spray or just bolt ons. That verter with headers, tires, and other little bolt ons is every bit good enough for 11.8-12.3's for sure without N20
