i am wanting to buy a converter but not wanting to spen lots of money car is mostly stock wat converter should i buy. thanks

definitely dont go cheap on the converter!! too many guys get the cheap converter and always get disappointed.. definitely run vigilante, yank or circle D.

im running a vigilante 3200 stall and happy with it as a daily driver.

 

you shouldnt really go cheap andrew. since you have 3.23's i would go somewhere in the range of a 3200 - 3500. But you should definately go ahead and buy the 3.73's you've been talking about getting.

EDGE 3200 they are cheeper converters, but there not cheep converters if that makes since. I love mine runs great I know of others that like theres as well. Vig and Yank seem to be the most popular on this site though.

 

I agree, I would stick with a 3000-3200 convertor. That will work also when you start to mod the car.

 

id say go with a TCI 3500 thats what i have and love...not matter what you do go with a 3500 or higher your gonna be pissed if you dont....if you ever start modding the car also your gonna wanna have the high stall...

circle D has their version of Trail Blazer convertor. can be tweaked a little and was real reasonable priced

 

My advice would be to buy an $800 converter for $400. This is possible with some patience and frequent vists to the LS1tech.com classifieds forum . I went with a Vigilante 3600 and I am very happy with it.

I agree, for a relatively stock powertrain a converter that stalls in the 2,800 - 3,200 rpm range would be ideal.
