T56 Conversion
Does anyone have an estimate on what it would cost to go from a 4l60e to a t56? I would need the total package. My 4l60e is trashed so I just want to explore all my options and I have always wanted a 6 speed car. Thanks.

You can certainly do it for the cost of rebuilding a 4L60E the right way...after my second 4L60E got shaky this is what I did.

Thank you. Do you happen to have a part list of what will be required? Also, by not hard, what level of expertise is "not hard"? I can do some stuff... but not so sure I could pull it off unless everything is pretty much bolt-on... Thank you

Take a look at this thread to get some ideas. Good luck. Vince

Once you get the M6 Petals you will see where it bolts through.. there is a Bracket made in the Steel with the Petals from the Factory. Also, on the Fire Wall is a Template for the Master Cylinder hole..it's put in the Steel from the Factory.
You won't need a new Console for the Shifter, but you will need a new Console Cover Plate.. that has the Shift Boot in it. You should find that pretty easily for your car..I had to hunt for mine.
This is the one for mine that I just finished..the Ash Tray was broken so I got rid of it..

You have to get the Manual one.. that is what I was showing you in the pic. Even for mine the Auto one has the Ash Tray infront of the Shifter..you have to get the Manual Center Console Cover with the Shift Boot in it.
The one I posted is the one for the 1993-1995 Camaro's.. make a post in the classifieds section looking for the one that will fit your year model, I'm sure you will be able to find it.
