So I guess I should quit arguing to Tracy that my vigilante is good enough?

Hmmmmm, FTI it is. Tracy's always right.

I've been running my 5500 FTI in my Th350 for about a year. I drive the car daily. I can pull off a light at 2K RPM with the rest of the traffic but when I push the pedal to the floor I am instantly up over 5K RPM. I never see trans temps above 180* and my gage is in a pressure port. And that's only if I'm in stop and go traffic for 30min +. Never above 210* unless I am hot lapping on spray. Consistant 1.45's (60's) on motor (my transbrake sucks and will only hold to 4K RPM) and many low 1.3 passes on spray. I have recommended their converters to everyone that I know. We had one that was too tight and they turned it around in one day. Greg is definetly good people.

Greg I was out at E-town yesterday in the freezing cold...yes it was like 32 degrees.

I ripped off another couple of 1.37 short times and one 1.35 short time with your converter. Beginning of the year, best was 1.417 with my other converter.

We changed the rear gear from 4.10 to 3.90 (not sure it makes much of a difference as we cut 1.37s with the 4.10 as well).

This is an all motor 402 Vette still on IRS suspension.

My pro tree lights still leave a lot to be desired but I don't think it is the converter.

Boy if only other people on this site would realize that we do know what we are doing?I am glad you are happy with it. I am presently working on a new 9" lock up for you guys. When I get it done I will get with you to run one and see what you think. But the good side to this is everyone else wont be able to run as good as you. Marketing is everything. We appreciate your bussiness.

Thanks
Greg

I have been calling around to some of the big name converter guys (ATI, Coan, Continental). I live in MD about an hour from ATI and everybody here runs ATI. I talked to them about my combination and they said an 8" 5500 for max performance but since I drive on the street 99% of the time they would suggest a 8" 4800 and he said it should still hit hard and be very street friendly. Quoted me $675 for the 4800 Treemaster.

Tell me what you can do for me that ATI cant and why I should go with your converter. Im not looking to spend any more than $700 so the ATI is right at the max of my budget. I am about to order with in the next week.

I have run a Yank SS 4000 that blew up, I have also run a Fuddle 3800 and just did not like it. I had Chevpower take the Fuddle converter to FTI he cut it apart and did some magic. Here are the results with no other changes.

Old PB with Fuddle.
1.545 60'
6.928 1/8 @ 99.72
10.850 1/4 @ 124.96

New PB with FTI with a little tire spin.
1.555 60'
6.805 1/8 @102.79
10.602 1/4 @ 129.62

My converter is in the mail Greg. You guys should see it tomorrow. I'm so nervous to have it adjusted as the car is running sooooo good but I think I am leaving a couple MPH on the table.

See you at PRI.
