Default tranny mount?

i was changing the stall and when i was, i noticed the black rubber peice was slip almost in half and i went to the track and every time the car shifts, i can hear it, sounds like it kinda hits the floor board, and only when it shifts.. could it be that or something else more complecated?

Mine's doing the same kind of thing...I think it's the mount. I just ordered one from summit, so I guess I'll see...

I should get it tomorrow, so I'll probably get it on within a few days. I'll let you know what happens.

I had the same problem and ordered the GM 1LE mount and was told it was discontinued and replaced with a new number. When I received the new piece it was taller than the stock piece which offset the pinion angle enough to force me to remove my driveshaft loop and re adjust the pinion angle. The clunking did go away though.

It is just the mount, Under the increased load of the upshift it is picking the back of the transmission up and hitting the floor board. You can replace it with the 1LE or just try a new stock part.
