Arizona auction tent fails leaving millions of dollars worth of collector car inventory beaten, battered and bruised.

that is aweful. IMO the auction co. should have insurance that would cover a disaster like this, especially when they are partly at fault considering they held the best cars in a tent. A tent isn't safe for sh*t unless its on a slab with the frame welded together

We had tornado level winds here in town when that happened. Even uncomfirmed tornados touching down. No matter how strong the tent it, a tent isnt going to hold up against even an F1 tornado.

My dad was in Arizona for the auctions there when this happened. Apparently there are 3-5 different auction companies holding auctions around the same time as the Barrett Jackson auction. Most of them, including the BJ auction put their cars under tents but none of them had any issues except this company (Russo and Steele). My dad said one company (I forgot if it was Russo and Steele or not) was putting semi trucks with trailers on the side of the tents to attempt to build a wall to shelter the tent from the wind. Pretty crazy stuff.
