I was watching the auction today and saw a 01 WS6 with 4900 miles that they listed as 310hp. Aren't these guys supposed to be among the most knowledgeable? Or do they only know about the millions of version of Mustangs and their minor horsepower ratings over its lifetime?

i can see where they get the mistake. thats what GM rated it at, but they should do a little research and at least mention how itll dyno the same as a vette LS1. think of all the idiots here that swear some ls1s came with 243s or an ls6 cam. if that kid of **** gets around, you would think the word might get passed along to BJ about the real power. oh well though, no big deal.

I understand they quote manufacturer rated numbers but the 01 WS6 is 325hp not 310hp thats the rated z-28,formula, and T/A number for that year. If it had been a 66 Mustang with a 289 they sure as hell would have gotten it right. Seems their auctions are very Mustang heavy. Then again 1 gen Camaro's have a decent showing there now too.
basically its all about what cars where cool in high school for the 35-55 crowd. I've been noticing a few more rare late 2nd gen T/A's

My thoughts on Barret Jackson was that they help make decent-nice cars unaffordable for the Average Joe to buy. Cars on there go for so much more than one would normally think they should normally go for. The constant march of 64-72 and 05 and up Mustangs is comical. Then again I would love to see what a Mustang II or Fox body would go for on average through them. They could be the ones to make Pinto, I mean, Mustang II a real collector car.
