Default Ford Focus ST

The American Ford Focus is slated to finally receive a pair...
While the European Focus has had several trims with boosted I4's, and more recently I5's, the American Focus has always had to make do with an anemic NA I4.

Well, with the redesign of the Focus for 2012 will come the spiced up ST version.
The Focus ST will boast 247hp and 266lbft torque from its 2.0l ecoboost mill.
It even features a 6-speed manual (still routed to just the front wheels unfortunately).

The Focus ST is sporty and modern in appearance and has a fairly attractive interior (if I do say so myself).

There are gobs more information out there about the car following Ford's recent press release.

Funny that Ford is replacing their compact and subcompacts in the US with cars from their German subsidary and instead of following suit GM just puts a bowtie on a Daewoo while leaving Opels to rot.

Very cool, but I was hoping for the 300hp turbo I5. I would love one of these for a DD. That interior is sick!

Great interior for an "Econo-Box"!!!! Now, this is how a car's interior can look when they try. Cheap price doesn't have to mean cheap quality!!!

It's still a possibility. The new RS hasn't debuted yet (the previous generation is on its last year).
I still doubt it will happen, but we won't know until it's released if it will be available over here.

The front of that car looks like an insect.

Other than that I'm sure it's a great car and props to Ford!

Ugh, I HATE this trend with new cars. Everything is integrated into the dash, making it impossible to replace the head unit. If the factory deck is on par with an aftermarket unit, then it's acceptable, but if crappy and I can't change it then I can't buy the car.

I tend to leave my stereo stock or remove it completely.

Same here. I did the 'high end audio in the car thing' years ago but as factory units got (at least a little) better and I become more performance oriented/weight conscious I quickly drifted out of that scene.
I personally would never pass up a great new car simply because of it's audio system (or lack thereof).
