I like it, especially the disel part. Why would I want a Denali-spec interior in an off road warrior though? I would rather see a truck that I can hose down after playing in the mud and whatnot.

Because Ford puts a fancy interior in the SVT Raptor and most of these will be bought by people who want a nice interior.

I like the looks and I would buy one but I know it is going to be like $50k. And i would like the option of a gas engine.

Yeah people want a really cool looking feature-laden interior with their "off-road" vehicle. They don't worry about having to keep it nice since the most extreme off-roading that most of them will be doing will be the stone driveway up to cousin bob's house at christmas.

There are a lot of people beating on the Raptors, but I doubt that will be the same for this truck. It looks like every other lifted Chevy on the road. I doubt it will keep up with a Raptor just by looking at it, it looks to tall and narrow to play in the corners with. The Ram Runner looks like it will be much better competition for the Raptor than this Chevy.

At least this shows that they are not oblivious to the fact that some of us would want something like this. I personally would be interested in this!

While I agree with you for the most part, the average buyer wants the perception of an off-road slayer more than the function. Case and point, the H2 and H3. I think a base Silverado 4X4 with some 35s makes for a better off-roader than those things.

The H3 had a optional locking front diff....That should be standard on all 4x4's. I guarantee a lock front diff will get you farther than a set of 35's. Function over form is a beautiful thing. If more people would buy off that than their "style"( which is highly intangeable aand means basically nothing) we would all be driving better vehicles.

Only if you had the H3 Alpha. That gutless I5 engine is lucky to propel that H3 on paved roads.

Most IRS front ends would explode with a locking front. And most people couldn't care less about having function over style. How many brand new trucks/suvs do you see out in the mud or rock crawling compared to the number just used to tow or go shopping with? I agree that front lockers would be nice for all things with 4x4, but most people don't need that. Lockers in the back are just as needed as most trucks have open rears.

Guess I'm tired of the underbuilt over styled fagmobiles. GM is king of that ****.
