Default LG motors suing GM

I hate to see such a great shop and owner get pushed around like this because the big budget factory team is scared of a little competition.

I just read through the meat of the suit, and it sounds like typical big-business bullshit. I wish LG Motorsports the best in this lawsuit.

so....GM doesn't want him to use a Corvette in the GT2 class in ALMS. Why, is this because he apparently beat a factory backed car in 2006? Fuggin GM, what a joke, they are cutting ties that really helped them in the past.

They don't want him to have a fair chance at beating them so they made a deal with Michelin tires to restrict them from buying their racing tires. LG has proven in many cases they were being blocked, they also put it out there that the Michelin's were the only competitive tire available.

LG even tried to buy off the shelf units to have some chance and again were blocked by Michelin when they dubbed the off the shelf tires "not fit for competition" causing the racing body to bar them from use, even though there was another team (Viper) using them

That is stupid to see GM pushing out another competive GM car. When people when races, nobody notices if it is a manufacture backed team. All everyone sees is another corvette for the win.

If LG loses out I hope they go back to the drawing board and design their own car to meet class rules and kick the GM backed Corvette's ***.

He'll if gm was even remotely decent they would give the parts for free just to get a little more coverage of a bad *** team and good pr on gms part. So much for sportsmanship. What happened to the days when race teams were willing to help out the other guy?

It ended when Cole Trickle beat Rowdy Burns with his old owner's motor......

But more seriously, true sportsmanship is almost completely dead, no matter what sport you look to. It's sad because GM doesn't realize how much they have to gain with other teams exposing your car and winning - hell, it's even healthy competition to push GM to be more competitive (hint hint - Camaro vs 5. no longer slow!).
