Thank goodness he's alive and ok.

Does anyone know the causes for the loss of control? I would suspect aerodynamics or tires

the MT drag radial exploded (not good above 180ish) happened to the lmr camaro but with a bit of luck he didnt flip.. lesson; dont run drag radials at the mile!!

I heard that they think the rim was spinning in the tire (GPS vs. in car data log), which at those speeds...

Spinning in the tire at 180mph? I'm no rocket surgeon, but I don't think so man...

Once it went flat, I almost get it, but at normal pressure? I can't imagine that. Again, I'm no brain scientist...

Actually, I can see how the bead area of the tire could increase in diameter while spinning at that speed. But I'm no scientist surgeon either.
