2013 Corvette C7
Hey guys,
Anyone have any updates or insider info on the new 2013 Vette? Been seeing it make some buzz, but wonder if they're really going to go through with the change?
Looks good, but are the hardcore fans going to like it?

That first pic is actually a photoshop of my current wallpaper.
Anywho, it looks alright but the rear end is ugly but I recall GM saying that the concept corvette that we saw in Transformers was not going to be the C7 though I can see them taking design ideas from it.

I love the idea of the rear windows being split. The front end looks good but the headlights seem awkward on the concept. I know GM was saying the C7 is going to be completely different then any other Corvette they've made so the taillights being different is understandable
I mean minus those ugly exhaust pipes it looks pretty mean

There are test mules running around currently, so its happening soon.
Also someone in the "know" said this pic is very close to what its going to look like:

Side note:
Concept car was on the Hot Rod power tour. It looks better in person.
Also, wasn't there talk of the C7 having an overhead cam designed engine? Hope NOT, but, though it had been discussed here.

The stingray car they built is not the c7 lol. The rumor mill always is heavy with the Corvette. Rumors from mid engine to overhead cam come up ever new generation it seems. It will still be a front engine cam in block engine. Just wait for more stuff to get released. GM will release "leaked" pictures just like they always do.

jmurray - haha, had no idea. Just googling. But concept looks similar to other pics.
It is supposed to go to market fall 2012 so I'm guessing there should be some pics out relatively soon. Should be interesting.

Is there confirmation that 2013 will be the first model year of C7? I was expecting 2014.
