Saw him on "The Car Show." Carolla had him on for a brief interview where he described his road life in the Lambo.

I remember hearing about this and it was a total sham. At least that's what i thought was revealed later after the original story release

Sounds like fun to me. If I didn't have a wife and kids I might consider doing that, except with a 2002 Trans Am instead of course.

Maybe parts of the story are a sham, but, it's kinda difficult to fake having a broken down Lambo in your shop that's titled to the guy. Although, I did find the whole police road block/gun part of the story a bit out there.
