Chevrolet will introduce the 2015 Corvette Z06 next month at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It will be the most track-capable Corvette ever, designed to deliver supercar levels of performance through unique powertrain, chassis and aerodynamic features.
The Corvette Z06 will complete Chevrolet’s performance car lineup, which will also see the addition of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, Camaro Z/28 and SS sedan.
“Chevrolet is America’s favorite performance car brand, and for 2014 we are going to offer enthusiasts more choices than ever before,” said Alan Batey, senior vice president, Global Chevrolet. “No other manufacturer will be able to match the breath of performance cars from Chevrolet.”

Theres a picture of it already floating around facebook and instagram. Not sure if real but its the same color and has the same wheels, carbon fiber side skirt and little vent as in the pic above. Also it doesn't appear to have the widebody like the C6Z.

It will surely be the best Corvette ever (in stock delivery form), but when will they release the details? 600hp seems a bit high, but I could see 550. The ZR1 may never be back, but they'll want to leave plenty of room in case, unless they're planning a 700hp version. Doing that should end the hp increases overall. I mean, leave some for the aftermarket and keep better ratings and reliability, particularly on the flagship of the brand. Tuning the driving dynamics seem to be the name of the game these days. Keeping up the pace we've seen over the past 10yrs or so(since the C5 really) isn't going to be easy and before long, they'll have to unveil the one that actually does fly.

As far as what engine it gets. It would be a slap in the face to take away the 7.0 and give us a 6.2. I don't care the power it makes with a supercharger. What made the Z06 special was its brute force as a NA car. I don't see where emissions would slow them down. They used a 7.0 for the last few years I fail to see where they would have to stop using them.
