What's the deal with all these top speed runs from Hennessey? How do they seem to get to use texas public roads for this whenever they desire?

Hennessey has a VERY impressive facility about forty five min's West of Houston,Tx. There is a test track there also. The police radar is there to verify their claimed speed is real.

It's not ridiculous to anybody else that they slap on a S/C and don't adjust transmission settings or top speed limiter? The first things I ever do is adjust trans shifts and top speed limiters; the transmission was shifting like a puss
