Default GMHTP magazine a little thin lately?

I just got my latest issue. Does anybody else think it's light on content? Can't they do a few more articles? On a side note, I wish there was a magazine about EFI Camaro's/Firebirds.

I agree it has been on the thin side...

I also have a subscription to them, but haven't recieved an issue in months, so now I just buy them instead, that also pisses me off...

Did like the article w/speed Inc. though..

Congrats to them...

I hope it doesn't go under. I really like it. Seems the mags I like, no one eles likes. Remember "Car's Illustrated"? That was a good mag, Toney Defeo was about the best car mag writer I've read.

If anything, this site is better than any EFI Fbody magazine could ever be. When you read a magazine you read the article, look at the pictures of the car, and thats the end. You cant ask the guy questions about his setup, you cant track the progress of ones car, or chat with that person in realtime. This site is pretty much an interactive magazine. Cheers to LS1TECH and all those who created this wonderful interactive magazine.

Did you read where Johnny Hunkins is moving on?

JH was a driving force behind modern muscle mags. I hope the next guy can step up. Big shoes to fill ...

I subscribe to GMHTP too. It got a little tiring with three consecutive LT1-devoted issues in a row with almost identically-posed cars on the front covers of at least two of those issues. I also agree it's been getting kind of thin lately, and I too hope it sticks around for a long time to come.

I'm bummed about Johnny Hunkins moving on to PHR. He was an excellent writer, photographer, and editor.....he'll be missed, but Rick Jensen ain't no slouch either. He'll do an excellent job of keeping the magazine fresh.

There's not much LS1 based tech info in GMHTP. I guess this website is cutting edge and everyone else is trying to catch up to us.

I could careless about GMHTP's testing of SLP's 85mm MAF. Souned like an advertisment to me.

Nobody can catch out site, we are too modified!

I think Rick will do a great job at the new position. Maybe LS1TECH.com will now get some love in GMHTP, Johnny never mentioned us but always pimped CamaroZ28.com whenever he could.

We are working this site into becoming more of an online magazine. Except our cutting edge info doesn't take 3 months to hit the press, and our track results are almost instant when they happen. We also have racing videos to download, stuff magazines cannot offer.

I used to have a 98 Cobra. The only thing I really miss is the wealth of big fat magazines. I think GMHTP sucks. I subscribed and got 2 magazines in 6 months. And niether had anything useful for a ls1. Maybee thats the real secret behind the mustang success. Lots of big magazines with all kinds of usefull info. Any idiot can walk into safeway and see all kinds of tricked out mustangs on a magazine. Want to see alot of sick ls1 Camaro's in picture. Good luck.

I loved the way he would take a press car and really wring it out on the track and street. No political incorrect BS, just drive the car like the average reader would and tell it like it was, good or bad.
I really think he had a big part in the 5.0 EFI movement. He modded them when there was no aftermarket at the time.

The best issue of GMHTP was and is the July 99 issue dedicated to the LS1. They will never top that.I think Rick Jensen will take the mag to the next level.

In the latest GMHTP they did mention www.ls1.com and LS1tech.com but very that was pretty much the extent of it. I like their magazine but the issues are far too thin, and they jipped me a couple months here and there, Bastards!

I talked to Rick a month ago and I think he will try new ideas with the magazine.

I would like to see GMHTP become a monthly publication.

With a lot of our upcoming site changes I think we will finally show what an Ezine can do.

I have known Johnny for a number of years, he's a bright guy, a fantastic photographer, and I do applaud some of the chances and risks he took with the magazine like the Bristol 2000 shootout.

I think there is a total lack of magazines
for LS1's.
For the UNBELIEVABLE amount of power these cars
make,they should get more attention.

Maybe a couple years down the road.

I'm sick of TPI cars and LT1's.(no offense)
I own a LS1 and that's all I'm interested in.

Does anybody want to start a magazine with me?
I'm seriously considering it.

I guess none of you ls1/lt1 F-body guys liked seeing Rob Raymer's 9 second Stage II V6 turbo buick street sleeper.... You guys shouldn't complain about not having enough ls1/lt1 F-body articles cause i'd bet more than 90% of the GMHTP artciles are devoted to you guys meanwhile us turbo buick guys are lucky to see one article per issue! I still don't complain and GMHTP is my favorite mag BTW, the LS1SpeedInc. Camaro was a very cool car as well and I would love to see GMHTP feature some turboed ls1/lt1 F-bodies Just my opinion
