Default JDM 350z get 395hp

http://www.egmcartech.com/2007/01/12...rlady-z-nismo/

http://supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=415098

I read this about a month ago, but didnt know it was coming in production. This is based on the new Skyline motor. I would assume, since this is 395hp, the Skyline might produce somwhere north of 475-500hp.

It is said the 350z should run between 12.3-12.5 1/4 times with traps at 115mph.

There are talks to ship the Fairlady to the States(but we know how we get fucked here).

Definately 2 thumbs up for the powertrain upgrade. I was about to sign the papers on a new 350Z Track model Brickyard in color but decided at the last minute to get the STI . A douchebag uppity salesman and manager ruined the 37k that dealer would have gotten. The body kit though is absolutely ficking hideous. . I will actually look into one if they bring it to the states.

the only thing that does look right to me is the rear bumper. the rest is pretty good. too small a car for me to get into though. lol. this should make the streets alittle more interesting.

Umm, I think someone got their facts mixed up. The silver Fairlady Z NISMO with the large rear diffuser is rated at the same 306hp as the other tamer looking Zs. This "new engine" the NISMO car has under its hood is just the higher revving and continuously variable valve timing equipped VQ35HR that's probably going to be replacing the VQ35DE across most of Nissan's lineup in the coming years. The VQ35HR redlines at 7500rpm while cars equipped with the VQ35DE redline at 7000rpm (manual) or 6600rpm (automatic). The HR is already being installed in all 2007 Z's and G35/V36 Skyline sedans. The NISMO upgrades on the Fairlady Z NISMO do NOT consist of a 395hp motor. It only consists of suspension, aerodynamic and tire upgrades.

Read: The silver car pictured here is "only" rated at 306hp.

The 395hp motor they're talking about refers to the engine found in the 380rs-c pictured below and has nothing to do with the aforementioned silver NISMO car.

The engine depicted below is a street version of the engine found under the hood of the white 380rs-c pictured above but the power figures are currently unknown at this time. It's rumored to be a naturally aspirated version of the upcoming GT-R's twin turbo VQ mill. While hp and torque figures are still a mystery for the time being the principles of detection tell me that it displaces 3.8L.

the 395hp is just as much a rumor as anything related to the 5th gen right now. the only thing set in stone for the 5th gen is that its going to be produced.

You must have missed the Steve Saleen interview in which he states the car will have the 6.2l motor with 425-450 hp. HE actually says in the interview, he hoped he would not anger anyone at GM for saying it as he is trying to get GM to allow him to do something similiar to what he does for Mustangs. On SVTperformance they were calling him a sellout for switching sides or whatever .

Im all for fast cars no matter who makes them. No brand loyalty bullshit here. No Ford or Chevy or Dodge . These car manufacturers could give 2 ***** about you so why do you only spend your money with 1 company instead of buying the best available product on the market. That always baffled me. Rant off lol.
