i think its pretty good..i dont know why everyone is always bashing the domestic competition, at least its Ford and not Nissan, i'd rather go after the imports personally, but whatever makes you guys happy

Kinda off topic, but did anyone see that Top Gear episode where they ran the GT500 around their test track and it only went .1 of a second faster than a "lowly" Holden Monaro? I was crying with laughter!
Also of funny note, the video about this new GT500KR with Carroll Shelby in it. He says MANY times that the Mustang was just a "...Secretary's car..." and the only fast ones were his! I was like,"YES keep on telling us your truths preacher!!!"

Yeah, I NEVER understood that on here!! It seems sooo many HATE so much on the Blue Oval that they would rather side with/drive a Civic (even a slow, heavy NA one) than a hot/fast Ford!
BTW; that silver with blue stripes is the sweetest color combo yet on the GT 500.

If you havent noticed, the GT500 only traps 115 with 500hp, 40 more, still is a sub 120mph car, through the 1/4. Instead of worring about hp goals, their focus needs to be about weight savings. Try knocking off 400lbs, instead of gaining 40hp!

I was thinking the same thing about weight when I heard about this car. It doesn't need any more power, it needs less weight. 500hp should have the GT500 at least in the low 12's, but instead, I bet this 540hp version will struggle to break into low 12's. Keep sucking up fuel, and getting heavier. Just like us good 'ole americans.
I sure hope the new Camaro will be as light as everyone claims it will be.
As for looks, I like the KR alot better than the regular GT500. Didn't really like the looks of the GT500, but this version will grow on me for sure.

Thats is pathetic. Giving up 10-13 mph, with roughly the same hp. O well, I dont know what It'll take, for Ford to understand, that hp isnt the key to acceleration and that added weight, isnt the key for nimbleness! And please, get rid of the solid rear end!
