Even thought its a limited edition I think its an awesome idea. It's gonna have 540hp which isnt to shabby either

if its only going to have 540hp that pathetic. the new vette will have 600+ as does the new viper. and i bet this stang will have a price tag close to the vette. for the top dog cars 600hp is the new. HELL i can wait for the new Camaro to come out with 500hp (SS or Z28 edition). but it is a nice looking car

 

540hp is pathetic???? This will have the same drivetrain setup as the GT500 cobra did except a few tweaks and changes to gain the extra 40 hp. The new setup to compete with the new corvettes and camaros will be when they redo the mustang for 09 Supposedly the new Boss engines will go into the 09 mustangs

 

Looks ****** NICE!! Ditch the antenna and it would look perfect.

 

The foose edition f150 isn't to shabby either.

If dealers are marking up regular GT500s well into the 60s...... this thing will be $125k

Totally agree, you think with a car like this ford would follow industry suit in making an extremely inconspicuos pod of some sort.

 

Im not sure what the mark up will be but you have to remember thay are only making 1000 of these. so im sure it will be and should be pricey.

 

You understand that people run 10's with 400rwhp right? 540hp quickly
turns into 700rwhp with a few mods. Ever driven a car with that much
power? I'm guessing you haven't.

This car looks pretty damned mean. It's my understanding that
you have to purchase a GT500 first, then you send it off to Shelby
for the mods..which are around $12.5K. I don't see how there could be
dealer mark up on this given the nature of how it's modified. Mark up
would be on the GT500 itself at the dealer. People who buy these
cars generally aren't concerned about money anyway.

That heavy pig will need over 600hp just to hang with a current Z06 much less the talked about future 650hp Z06! The Vette is almost 1000lbs lighter!

I guess Ford has already forgot about the spanking the Z06 put on the GT500 in performance numbers like 0-100 almost 3 seconds faster, and all other measures of performance.Did I forget to mention that the Mustang had a blower and still got schooled?
