lol, 12.5 at @119 and you dont think they had traction issues? some sticky tires and some suspension work and it will be in the 10's. not worth it though, most aftermarket setups are going to be better then what you can buy from the factory

Going by the 119 mph with traction it is most likely an 11sec car with tuning and some minor tweaks maybe even 10s only problem is the 605hp number for a 3900lb car when the next z06 is supposed to be supercharged also with around the same hp number but far less weight with better aerodynamics and handling

As tested in that article the car weighed in just under 4100lbs at 4085.
4100 POUNDS!!
The Ford guys need to stop comparing that car's characteristics to any other car. Instead, that thing behaves more like a Dodge Ram SRT-10. That being said, even with drag radials, 4100lbs with a torquey engine and a 6 speed means 119 traps are at best high 11s![Shiner](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/shiner.gif)
How is it the same R&T drivers got a 2006 4 door BMW M5 (which weighs less
) to run better times with over 100 fewer horsepower?

Judging by the Hp/lbs ratio I say this car will be a high 11s car and possibly mid 11s with great conditions...like I said add drag radials and it will do that constently.

I Don't know if its been mentioned yet, but the new Gt500's come with the 5.4 supercharged motors, but the 5.4 ford motors are iron with aluminum heads? or iron with iron heads either or, not the point. my point is that the the GT500s are ruffly 100lbs heavier in the front than the Saleens. making the GT500 a worse track car than the $30,000 cheaper Saleen. and the fact that they need to supercharge the motor to get 605 outta their "super snake", there are guys on here getting like 550rwhp outta their N/A 402s & 408's IMO ford just keeps embarrassing themselves by naming every mustang that comes off the assembly line with something more than stock a "Shelby"..... I remember when Shelby was something that used to be feared. just my two cents
im not gonna argue my opinion on this, so go ahead and criticize me

why would you pay 70k for any mustang? I don't hate mustangs, but c'mon. GT500's are too much for a pony IMO, let alone 70k? You must be crazy. Ya I think I would take the Z06 instead! After you get tired running high 11's stock, you can go to your local road course and turn too! Oh Snap! Not that it's normally a big deal but for 70k I'd hope its more than just a straight line car.
