Default LS3 for Trailblazer SS?

Does anybody know if GM plans on putting the LS3/6L80E in the Trailblazer SS? That would be awesome!

Trailblazer is done after 2008, so no.
GMC Envoy and Saab 9-7X are also done after 2008.

i thought a LME LS7 441ci. would be better in mine.....HEHEHE

it has an ADM Performance L92 CNCed top end with an ADM custom grind......

the ADM Performance L92 top end with custom ADM grind that came out with the stock short block posted the fastest N/A stock 6.0 and internal pass on the planet

the new setup should be fun........

What tranny are you going with? I hear the stock trannys are dying left and right under stock power.

Phoenix Trans in Weatherford TX built be a one off billet 3400 stall and a maxed 4L70E.....with every thing hardened and treated with every trick greg knows.....

the 70E is the only mistake they made with these trucks......

there is one truck that has been in the mid-low 10's for nearly a year that had a RPM 70E with a Yank 3200 that showed ZERO signs of wear on rodney's tranny when it came out for an engine and tranny upgrade......NeverEnough (Martin ***) is building a new setup that is like 1000+ to the tire....this is the TBSS that cracked off the 10.63 at the LSX Shootout.....

the secret to making it last seems to be not spraying out of the hole and NEVER through shifts......

How much is a built 4L70E? And how difficult/expense would it be to put a 6L80E in one?

i paid for a converter and tranny as a set and had a RPM tranny that broke a front pump rotor that greg repaired and upgraded the whole setup

with some internals already upgraded and the billet converter i spent about 2500....for the upgrade and monster converter

the 6L80E is not a good choice for my setup....we have built all the mechanical conversion parts to go to a 4L80E trans braked when i BLOW UP the 70E.....the electronics are still being sorted out....greg is working on a 100% plug and play swap for the TBSS community because of the weak 70E....

SOON I HOPE!!!!!

Whats the horsepower rating on the RPM Level VI 4L70E?
I see its about $2800 plus $900 for a Vigilante Converter plus a good cooler.
I'd hate to spend that much then have it break.
I'd like to see 11s with bolts ons and 150hp shot in an AWD version.
With a window switch of course.

rodney was using the 13 fin pump rotor that was failing....they have switched the rotor now....but rodney was gonna make good on it but i had to have it back up immediately so i went to greg at Phoenix to get it back up.....

rodney builds a top notch tranny that he will back up but i could not wait for the mail it back time frame......

come over to tbssowners.com there is a MOUNTAIN of tbss specific info to get you going and surely some local guys in your area to get ya going.....if you are in the DFW call ADM Perfomance he has several in the 11's one of which is mine.....

GM's midsized SUV platform vehicles are being replaced by the Lambda platform vehicles.

The TrailBlazer is being replaced by the upcoming Traverse. The Acadia has already replaced the Envoy over at GMC. Buick sells the Enclave in place of the Rainier, Rendezvous and Terraza. The Outlook replaced the Relay over at Saturn.

Unless you know something I don't, I believe that's incorrect.
The GMT 360 program is going to continue on past 2008.

Isn't the TB getting "replaced" by the upcoming Traverse? Also, guys, if the TBSS was to get anything, it would be that beautiful 6.2L from the Escalade and Denali's, not the LS3...

It's going to be phased out but it sounds like the date keeps getting pushed back.
