Default Gas .33 Cents Per Gallon!!!!!!!!

so im driving down the blvd. today with my girl and i see about 3-4 cars at each pump at a station... the station just went undergo a change in ownership.. so i figure they are running a special on gasoline.. i pull up, and i guy looks out smiling ear to ear and goes its true its true it really is .33 cents a galon for mid grade. i decided i would go inside to find out for my self. long story short someone F'ed up BIIIIG time and instead of entering 3.33$ per gallon for mid grade, they entered .33 cents per gallon... its obvious i filled up, i ot just under 12 gallons for 3.88$... it took them about three hours to get it fixed, there was cops directing traffic and everything.. probably about 100 cars waiting to get gas.. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

i usually dont have luck like that.. but this time it was different, usually as i pulled up to get my share, it would change back.

A few people here will tell you you're a jerk for taking advantage of someone else's mistake. I'm not necessarily one of those people.

I agree. That happened somewhere up around Michigan also...I remember reading about it on Yahoo.

That gas station lost a lot of money, now they will most likely raised prices to compensate for their loss.

I would have a least filled up then stayed there in that spot so no one else could steal the gas.

for real you guys.. they could have just as easily shut the place down.. it was so nuts.. there were people getting gas and leaving.. not paying.. i did not do this.. no.. that would be idiotic.. i saw a good oppurtunity to better myself and save some dough and i did.. i would bet just about everything that it wont even put a dent in there budget.. now if it were a mom and pop store.. i wouldnt have done it.. not even thought about it....

as for the sitting there so no one else could get gas... i didnt feel like getting shot dude.. that would have been a big mistake....

also.. i dont get my gas from them.. and no other comp. will raise their prices to compensate for their loss... so the raised price on their gas doesnt bother me..

Refineries are loosing money. Oil Traders are making it.

What is a gallon of gas worth? Whatever they say it is after all your phyiscal assets are paid off + labour.

Unfortunately, alot of other things add to gas price like research and costs of discovery, tooling, physical assets....bribes to countries to allow all this.

Maybe if people werent so fed up with gas prices, people wouldn't be so inclined to take advantage.

I'd be happy with $2.50/gallon premium.

Are you serious? Crude is around 105 a barrel (42 gallons), that $2.50 per gallon of crude oil, then add on refining, shipping, tax, ect...
