Mine was like this, without the stickers. (Okay, it was a little tacky, and slow, but what wasn't during those years.)

Hey, I had a Mustang II, it was cool back in the 80's. ![Engarde](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies3/engarde.gif)
Besides, it was far from ugliest Mustang, that would be the 1990 Mustang GT with all the plastic crap:

The best Mustangs are the 60s originals and the current model. The last gen wasn't bad as it had the right proportions but it didn't have any real Mustang styling cues aside from the tails.
Everything in between looks like utter crap. If you took the Mustang out of the LX's bumper you'd never know it was a Mustang.

To me, it was the late-sixties, early seventies models. Hell I think some of the Mustang II's were better looking than the original...

Some of us were brought up playing with extravagant 80's and 90's Hotwheels and some of us were brought up with the Johnny Lightning. You are part of the latter, obviously, and cannot appreciate a car with a nice set of garish stripes and more louvers than could possibly be used on a car with a 140hp 302ci!
I still think the original mustangs were busy-looking, craggy-styled, ugly-looking cars designed with secretaries in mind...which they were. Besides, I'm a sucker for animals on hoods...

Not to be outdone by this weekend's Camarogasm.
