Hey, I had a Mustang II, it was cool back in the 80's. Besides, it was far from ugliest Mustang, that would be the 1990 Mustang GT with all the plastic crap:

Mine was like this, without the stickers. (Okay, it was a little tacky, and slow, but what wasn't during those years.)

Now THIS is ugly.

The best Mustangs are the 60s originals and the current model. The last gen wasn't bad as it had the right proportions but it didn't have any real Mustang styling cues aside from the tails.

Everything in between looks like utter crap. If you took the Mustang out of the LX's bumper you'd never know it was a Mustang.

I think the 03 and 04 cobras are a lot better looking than the current ones... those just look mean. Other than 03's or 04 cobras got to be a 67 fastback

Honestly, and I'll catch some flak for this, I hate the mid 60's and current model. Ugly.

To me, it was the late-sixties, early seventies models. Hell I think some of the Mustang II's were better looking than the original...

The mustang II was the worst car ever.

I love seeing the generations of mustangs lined up at car shows.

Then you see the mustang II bums hidden far away out back somewhere LOL!

Why can't people learn how to turn off flash so I don't have to see every bug on their windshield.

Why are they being so dam secretive to the way it looks? It's not like its a whole new generation just a refresh....but I guess once you have seen it once you have seen it more then you will ever want to.

In all seriousness im glad there upping the power and ditching the 4.6.

I think you just haven't got a taste for flair...

Some of us were brought up playing with extravagant 80's and 90's Hotwheels and some of us were brought up with the Johnny Lightning. You are part of the latter, obviously, and cannot appreciate a car with a nice set of garish stripes and more louvers than could possibly be used on a car with a 140hp 302ci!

I still think the original mustangs were busy-looking, craggy-styled, ugly-looking cars designed with secretaries in mind...which they were. Besides, I'm a sucker for animals on hoods...

Not to be outdone by this weekend's Camarogasm.

ELKHART, Wisconsin. The new 2010 Ford Mustang, in camouflage, will pace the vintage field this weekend at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Ford is the sponsor of the Kohler International Challenge vintage race.
