Nissan GT-R dyno test

yes the vette wouldnt start pulling until it go into its power band. the skyline was no doubt fully spooled and the vette probley started off a like 3500 rpm so it had ways to climb to get to its peak at like 6500 rpm. you saw by the end of the race at like 170 or so that the vette had a solid 4-5 lengths. the only part i would have Q's about is the dig race. the vette leads the whole way, i wasnt expecting that.

Here's a video I finished with a couple of friends Z06's vs my GTR.

EVERYONE cares about straight line, if good handling/braking was the sole concern then they'd all be driving a base Lotus Elise or Mazda Miata.
But I know what you mean, you're talking about a car that can do it all and do it all well (as both the Z06 and the GTR do).

In a true manual car with a clutch, driver skill is key. Put a 'first time' manual driver in a Ford GT and an excellent driver in a stock '03/'04 Mustang Cobra will still beat him.

BTW, trackability INCLUDES straightline acceleration, but it is not limited to it... I was not referring to handling. Handling is one factor in how well a car performs on a road course, but you knew what I meant.

I remember a thread back on a Mercedes forum, which was also posted here for it's Epic Ownage, where a kid was talking about his Awesome Mercedes and had pics and vids of it. Then he preceded to say all the things he was doing to it, someone asked him to post up pics, and by golly, he did, little did his small brain grasp, he posted pics of 2 different Mercs. Another forum memeber, which just happened to be the real owner of the car, posted that the Merc was his and epic ownage ensued, this thread is Eerily similar.

Not that that is the case here of course.
And this part is a bit confusing to me:
Thomasio refers to "we where (were) neck and neck" and "neither of us pulling" etc...is Thomasio in fact the guy from the middle east (Dubai? Bahrain?) with the red GTR racing his own Z06 perhaps?

Just found it . The old & mighty 427 big block Cobra's in 1967 did 0-100-0 MPH in 13.08 seconds . Pretty good for 41 years ago . Now , what was the L88 Corvette's time ? anybody know ?

Thomasio, or Scott, or is it Chrissy, is from Boston, and no, this is not the guy from Oman racing the Z06 vs his own GTR, I believe he posts under a different name. Unit, I don't think we're gonna see those pics, perhaps his next excuse will be something like, my computer crashed and all my pics were on it, or I let my friend borrow my camera and he accidentally erased the memory card.
