These are obviously not run of the mill times...

When the first C6 Z06 broke into the 10's shortly after the car's release, it was feverishly followed on many forums and by many people locally... 10.9 bone stock on the stock air filter no weight reduction on a tire, drag radials... Many firsthand accounts too... I think his user name was Ranger (?).

Much later, another guy ran a 10.9 in the same stock configuration WHILE ON the stock tires too.


Average times, however, I would say are easily low 11's @ 125+ mph.

yup that be him he ran it at MIR hes a hell of a guy answer any question you had if he knew the answer and damn can that old bastard drive lol. I was running my second trans am that day and me and my friend mike talked with him for probably 45 mins. he was there with 5 or 6 other guys with vettes 2 of them being 05 or 06 z06's besides his and several c5's.

They say the new Corvette ZR1 can do 0-100-0 in eleven seconds flat . I wonder what the GT-R can do , and what was it again that the old 427 Cobra used to do it in ?

EVO tested the GTR and did 0-100-0 in 13.9, 14.0 for the Z06

Even a well driven base model manual Corvette (LS3) might hold it's own in acceleration/top speed against the GTR for little more than HALF the price.

Historically reputable owners/drivers with years of credibility at the tracks and on the boards behind them along with NUMEROUS witnesses who were there and scrutinized these cars are what makes these claims totally and 100% believable.
I personally was there for some of Ranger's passes as well.
My car parked next to Ranger's at Atco (at the time they were both the quickest stock C6 and C6 Z06 on record...he was doing mostly drag radial testing that particular day):

OK, I'm calling Shenanigans until I see proof, both cars, side by side, with LS1Tech written on a poster or something in front of both cars at the same time. I apologize ahead of time to Thomasio if he truley owns the cars, but anybody can say they own something without proof.

My friend is posting the videos today on here(gtr vs ls3). He needs to register first.

We ran multiple times with me being ahead by 1.5-2(slightly pulling) cars till 140+. From a dig it was much worse.

The Z was not pulling on the straights like I thought it would. Take a look at the vids. There where times we where neck and neck full throttle with neither of us pulling one another.

Thats one video, which I take with a grain of salt.
