^ shes quick but ugly, i raced my bone stock cts-v against my friends bone stock 300c srt8 and i had him by 4 lengths and pulling uptop. No doubt they can be made fast but theres so much more aftermarket support for the lsx motors, plus the cts-v is just more stylish.

oh and that last video, hahaha if you watch the wall behind the charger you can see the film car slows right down trying to make the charger look faster then it really is. That gave me a good laugh cause you can clearly tell.

i agree with ya on the support for the LSX. Maybe one day our cars will have the buffet of parts/support you guys do! I'm jealous of that no doubt.

For everyone that keeps saying to race an SRT from a roll is a little strange to me. We have a 3.06 gear that loves racing from a roll, our cars bog really bad off the line, thats the best place to race one. Your best bet is starting at 40mph or 65mph, at 40mph, the car will not downshift into 1st, it goes to the very bottom of second gear and at 65mph it will downshift to the very bottom of 3rd gear.
Who do I talk to, I will race any CTS-V on motor that drives to and from the track.

I don't care if it's from a roll or stop or whatever, The only reason the guys talk about racing from a roll is the diffs in the V's are glass. I have a 9" with m/t drag radials don't have to worry about that one.

We are actually building a 426 motor right now with an F1C that might be a good race for you.

Mike, but your leaving out:
the fact that the hemi boys havent a clue about the capabilities of the NEW V think I should tell them that AUTOMATIC 2g V's are making 498rwhp with a mail order tune + cutouts....What will the 6 speed manuals with a dyno tune and cutouts going to put down.....510rwhp?.. a 2009 car should compete with a 2009 car. And the hemi dont, wont and cant do that. Lets not even mention the twisties comparison as even a stock 1g V would tear up even that fully built 11 second srt8.

Dude, you are so far off base its not even funny....
The NEW V is nowhere near the same category as any of the current HEMI applications, since it costs about 2X as much as any of the SRT8s.
Now, 05 V vs 05 SRT8, you have an SRT that will make a bit more power than the V, but a better geared car in the V, so it makes for a pretty nice race.
Now, if you want to compare things that should not be compared, lets realize that the new HEMI 6.1 is making better power than even the LS3 in the new Vettes...but again, apples to oranges.
You say 09 models should be compared to 09 models, so where is the sub-50K GM built, 4 door performance sedan, with a six speed with 400 rwhp? Oh yeah....there is no such thing....oops.

Whats he got done to it?
Im without a clutch/differential/motor mounts right now so I will not be going to the track. But recently I ran 13.3 at 98 (clutch blown) had to shift 3rd-4th at 83 mph (normal redline is at around 91 mph) then from 4th-> 5th at 94 mph (normal redline is like 141mph).....so the bound slave master ruined the run and forced me to shift signifcantly early, and the power was significantly decreased at the top of the gear/run. Thats with a 2.1 60 foot. Thats with a blown clutch, a souped differential with a completely worn bushing and two busted motor mounts. Shes good for 12's...
I beat my buddies consistent 12.8 mustang every single time I race him. Dont want to start another bench racing thread. we all know the V's weekspot is off the line and 1-2 shift stability. I have yet to find an srt8 mangum, 300 or charger that can hang with me (most of them have been stock or exhaust/intake only)
