so has anyone raced a srt-8 300 C??? i have a friend that wants to run me in his... just wondering how i will do against it.... i have a k&n cai and magnaflow cat back...

1/4 mile times are identical from the factory and they are automatics so it will shift perfect everytime...

 

Race it from 40 mph. They fall on their face at that speed for some reason. Something to do with the tranny fishing for gears or something. It tries to stay in a higher gear and ends up being overgeared at 40

I had one try me and I pimped his *** to 40 as we were lining up side by side. I was in 2nd and hammered him really, really bad. Of course I have a maggie too which he wasn't expecting

I couldn't see his face but I'm sure it was nothing short of shock and awe when I ripped from 40 to 64 in seconds.

I played with one on a road course and pulled and pulled every lap. Turned out he had a tune and headers too, or so I was told.

 

i have a bone stock 05 and my wifes cousion had just got a srt8 300 and all i heard was how fast it was and it will just kill my car and my father inlaws (05 stage 3 roush mustang) so i let him dig his hole a little deeper. then i said i would race we ran 3 times twice from a stop and ones from a roll. he lost all 3 the 2 from a stop i was 3 to 4 maybe even 5 cars out front at about 130ish. the one from a roll was even easyer. hope that helps if you can drive it will be no prob. by the way i dont here how fast his car is any more.

 

This chick I know's dad told her that his 300C (non SRT) would beat my car.

 

I had a neighbor (chick) with a Hemi Charger talking crap that it would beat my car to some other neighbors. Both guys informed her there is no way. She said, "I don't know the Charger is pretty quick."

Then one guy told her that I took the entire engine apart and rebuilt it with a supercharger and there is no way that Charger could beat it.

She's been pretty quiet since then.

 

I drove 2 CTS-V's before I bought my 300 SRT8 for my wife and they were nearly identical even though the 300 is a little heavier and has an A5. Race him, it should be close and have fun.

FYI, my 300 (Livernois tuned, ported tb, AFE II) beat my bolt on 02 SS M6. They run real strong with a real tune and you are correct, they never miss a shift BUT if it has a stock tune, the trans suck on WOT shifts

 

my bone stock 01' Mercedes E55 AMG beat a few 300C SRT 8's at the drag strip. maybe it was their launches, but they couldn't pull on me. my car only makes 300rwhp and 333rwtq and weights damn near 4300 lbs.

Im going to say, a V will slaughter the SRT8, no problems...

I smoked a Charger with the police package.

 

we played around a little bit the other night and when i shifted into second i lost traction and he pulled out a little maybe a 1/4 car but we couldnt go anymore because there was a cop infront of us, luckily he was on his cell phone and didnt notice the rate that we were catching him lol oh by the way talking on a cell phone and driving is illegal in cali unless you have a hands free unit
