You'll need a 3/8 and 5/8 fuel line plastic tool(come in a package of different sizes) and probably a 18mm opened ended wrench. Might want to let pressure out of the schrader valve on a cold engine first.

Every 15,000 is way overkill in my opinion to replace a fuel filter. Especially one that's the size of the ones in the CTS-V, a Lightning and a Mustang Cobra. I replaced my filter in the Cobra 2X while racking up 113,000 miles. No loss in performance either. Out of curiosity, the Cadillac dealer quoted me $91 to do mine which includes the filter. Maybe when mine hits 35,000 miles I'll have them do it. I don't like messing with the gasoline.

either way I changed mine out at 20k and it was pretty bad...lots of black **** and couldn't blow through anywhere near as good as the new one....every 15k does seem a little excessive though.
