I have never liked the idea of spraying meth. I heard it helps in hi boost apps but I dont think I will see enough to warrant the need I guess. I now my maggie will be pushing some pretty hot air being that it is overdriven quite a bit I would like the safety thing of it. I just dont like the fact that you can run out of it. If you have to fill more than one tank to be able to go out and kick some ****, somethings just not quite right.

I think the SnowPerformance website speaks of huge gains, like 70 HP, but I have never seen a Maggied car benefit. Maybe it applies to NA, not sure. BTW, you can always use your spare tire area for a five-gallon meth tank, unless of course that space is reserved for a turbo,,,

How small of a shot would one need to spray to just cool the IAT? Meth is a lot cheaper to replenish so if it did any good at all it would be worth it. Its just now I have my wires crossed on positive displacement blowers and meth. Thanks a lot! lol
a littel 25 shot will be a nice boost cooler, you dont need much. either way the money would likely be better spent on a cam. you'll get a power gain and wont have to refill anything.

meth the up side is its cheap, the down side is it doesnt do crap on a positive displacement blower, especially one on very low boost.

nitrous the up side is it works, the down side is it runs out quick, and is expensive.

if you want lower IAT's while just playing around on the street get a larger heat exchanger, if you are running at the track you would also benefit from an ice box.

You gain by upping the boost/timing. If you only add meth you will see limited gains. In the buick world you add meth, up the boost to 25 up the timing to 23* and just fill the tank every 2-4 weeks.

I went to the track a couple months ago and used all of maybe 1/10 of a gallon after making 5-8 1/4 mile passes plus the trip there and back which were filled with many WOT blast.

Ah yes, meth and extra timing and boost is what I'm reafering too. Sorry. I know meth only will gain nothing if your tune is already spot on.

I am running 9lbs right now and after my pulley gets here tomorrow will be past 10 hopefully. By running meth I could increase the timing and be more aggressive with the tune but when you run out, its detonation time!

Yeah for sure. The kit I have has a low meth warning light. Then it has a light that turns red when the pump startes and switches to green when the pump reads a certain amount of pressure.

Like I said on Sat. though, the pump failed before I had the red to green light and I found out the hard way.

If you want to talk to the meth man go to the alkycontrol website and call Julio. He's made a ton of kits and knows everything about the + and - of a system.

Thanks!

Are you still in town? If I get the pulley's on and make sure the belt doesn't jump again, I'd let you drive it. I didn't really want to get out on Saturday with the belt like that and get stuck somewhere.

Which pulley was it?

Nope, made the drive back down on Sun. I understand man, I didn't want to throw a belt either so I was content with seeing the beast. When you swap to the 122 I get first dibs on the 112.

It was the tensioner pulley and I actually did throw a belt that night! lol I shredded that thing. Came out in several pieces! Its got a 7 rib belt (its all Oriellys had) on it right now and parked. It made it home but I dont think that thing has much life left! lol Its a good thing we didn't take her for a spin! $185 later I have a new tensioner pulley and a 2.7" to throw on after work! I'm all giddy! I just want to see that gauge climb past 10!

Then in the meantime (the several months while I save for the 122 swap) I think I will go ahead with the 90mm snout as well.

Hendrix Engineering sells them for 140.

Dont forget you may need a tune to get the most out of it and you could run lean without the tune. Dont know for sure, Hendrix could tell you for sure.

I need to order the ls6 to ls2 harness for the TB and a TB. Should I go aftermarket with the TB or factory?

An LS2 TB will be fine. I have a ported LS2 TB that I will be installing on mine. You can pick up the harness adapter from Texas Speed for like 50 or 60.

EPP has these, I assume they work with our LS6 but you might want to call to double check. $45.95
