Default Hotchkis sway bar kit worth it?

Love the way the car handles but does the hotchkis front and rear sway bar kit give you a noticeable difference?

yes, I have the hotchkis sway bars front and back... installed last Oct.
straight line and simple roads -- no difference,
throw in a corner a lot less body road
open track OMG...

I did the hotchkis plus the rear strutt bar at the same time. Those two mods made a huge difference on the track. The vehicle communicates much better. You can feel the difference in every turn entry and exit.

Order them, as the box says Hotchkis, which almost reads Hotchicks if you look at it with a glance. Nothing better than having Hot Chicks delivered to your door.

Does anyone still use the stock endlinks then? Or should those be upgraded to in order to handle the more force thats going to be exerted on them? Another words have people had troubles with the stock ones breaking? If anyone has upgraded what has anyone had good luck with?

Seriously, you'll need a 15/32" drill bit to drill out the holes in the lower control arm, and it seriously is a PITA.

The Z06 endlinks are shorter and stronger. You put them on, when you lower your car. The stocker is like a twig, and may break.
As for the drilling, you have to make the hole bigger on the sway bar and lower control arm.

Tony
This may help

sounds to me like if you aren't tracking the car you dont need the sways or strut bars..

I still think the car leans bad during the hard right turn on the way to Kroger. Are the sways gonna fix this? I never understood if I needed sways, springs, strut bars, or all of the above.

saw an old thread on the limited GM sways, they sounded badass.

sway bars are used to even out the compression of the inside and outside springs when you turn. the stiffer the bars, the better they accomplish this and the more level the car stays when the weight is transfered to the outside of the car in hard cornering.

stiffer springs obviously don't compress as easily so that helps keep the ride height from changing and keeps the car level.

shocks help return the springs to their normal height after initial compression (like hitting a bump or hard cornering). so the stiffer the shocks the faster they accomplish this, and the more resistant the outside wheels' suspension pieces are to staying compressed after that initial weight transfer.

strut bars prevent body flex, which is essentially another form of compression during weight transfer.

upgrading any of them will help your handling, and strut tower bars will have the least effect on ride comfort, followed by sway bars. well unless you were to get adjustable shocks, but that is a different story.
