CTS-V vs AMG 65

on 7.5lbs yes. for a matter of fact i know its unrealistic. if that was 10LBS + then i may believe it. but 551 on 7.5PSI no happening. he posted numbers here before and i jsut cant find the thread, but they were mid 4's, that i can believe. but ive dyno'd many cars with blowers, turbo's, NA, spray and know a bullshit number when i see it.

a blower has parasitic loss though that a turbo doesnt. with a roots type blower you can generally expect to see anywhere from a 8-13HP per PSI gain. with a turbo its typically 10-20hp per PSI gain. mike is claiming around a 30HP per PSI gain and that just aint going to happen, even with meth and a very aggressive tune.

i can also testify to the fact that all a maggied V will be seeing is a E55's tails. i dont think its a fair comparison form a stop because you cant really launch a V and if you do you will probably break something. ive seen a friend V with longtubes, cam, maggie, and dyno tune lose to another friends stock 05 E55 more times than i can count.
1) I think I can
2) Those cars suck
3) I have never raced one but know they are slow
4) I have never ridden in one of those but the V will kill it
5) My sister's uncle's cousin's gardener's brother beat one last week and they blow
Damn, if I race someone in my car, drive their car, and then watch it at the track I believe that is a damn good point of reference.
Bench racing is BS!!!, rather than talk about it, go do it. If ANYONE wants to race an E55, from a dig, from a roll, or at the track, let me know as I will go on MBWORLD.org and try to arrange it. Another thing, if you meet a car on an open stretch of road and he accepts your offer to run there is a very high probability he is modded. And regarding mods, most Vs on here have a few bolt-ons, most have a tune, all Maggies have a tune, headers and full exhaust, so hoping that your opponent is 'bone stock' is wishful thinking, and IMO a tune on a factory supercharged car is not a heavy mod, especially when the owner does not tell you such---how does anyone know by looking at a car if it is tune???
In closing, if you feel froggy, leap after an E55, if he accepts, he will at least have a Kleeman/Renntech tune, and probably a few other goodies that you will never uncover, such as larger TB and larger air pump, and it will be very ugly, unless you have the perfect race (60-130mph), which I have run and still lost to my friend's E55.
In closing II, I love my V, but am not a homer, and realize what battles I can win, lost many races, but got educated in the process. Also, rather than guess about an outcome, I will speak only from experience, not as much as some, but never shied away from a challenge.
In closing III, forget the weight arguement and how much of a pig the E55 is, found 2005 E55 curb weight listed at 3,990 with the V weighing in at 3,890 + 70lbs for Maggie puts them almost even.

The warmth on this forum is bringing tears to my eyes, and I also have a lot of gastic outbursts but think that had to do with last night's double broccoli serving. We need to have weekend meeting somewhere in the Southeast so that we can all have one giant hug.

I'm at 9 right now with the 8" balancer. I figure dropping the 2.8" to a 2.7" would be just enough to crest 10 pounds. I'm only pushing it through a 346 and stock heads.

My point of reference is a 2.6" on a stock LS6 only got 7.5-8psi, not sure how the balancer affects the output, obviously it helps. You will be the first I can recall that hits the 10psi level on a 112 on a V. Good luck, 10psi is plenty safe with a good tune and fuel.

i love your maturity level. if i had to guess you probably have 10 years on my age, but act like your 10 years younger. and its obvious you really dont know jack **** about cars, just a MN nutswinger. if you pull his **** out of your mouth long enough you might learn something instead of just shaking your head because somebody called your boyfriend out.
