will this cause powersteering issues?

I've had my 25% UD Harmonic Balancer on for about 40K miles, which is probabaly one of the longer ammounts of time on a CTS-V specifically. Looking at the accessory system, the HB spins the waterpump, alternator and PS pump. The seocondary belt spins the AC compressor, however it is not under driven. With that said, I have had no heat issues with the waterpump being underdriven, so far so good there. I did have my PS pump go out last summer, however upon inspection it was a hose that went bad and not the pump itself, so I don't think underdriving the PS pump is an issue.
I have gone through 2 alternators since puttin on the UD Balancer however. The first one went out a day after the PS pump went out, and I believe it was due to it being sprayed with all the PS fluid when that went bad. [It actually went dead while I was on the track, and then I lost power, and the computer rebooted while I was about to brake at 135 (WHOOPS!). Major pucker factor seeing 'SYSTEM REBOOTING' on the DIC. Lost ABS, went off track, no problems though.] The second alternator went out last winter. BIll @ Lindsay indicated that the wiring looked fried inside the alternator. At this point I am unsure why this happened. The alternator on the CTS-V apparantly is 'smart' and has some connection to the PCM. Perhaps by under driving it, it causes it to work too hard, shortening it's life? At this point I'm not sure. I am playing it by ear. So far 10k miles on the new alternator. If it goes south again, I'm pretty sure it's the UD Balancer that is causing it. If so, there are two options; either remove it (or go to a 10%), or get a smaller pulley on the alternator. East Coast Supercharging may have something (or not), I haven't checked. We may be bit by the CTS-V, no aftermarket bug there.
Anyway, If I have another issue, I'll let everyone know. At this point, the only advice I have is, to make sure you get a good balancer (like an ATI), as it is there for a reason (to absorb virbrations and harmonics from the crank). Also make sure you get an ARP crank bolt, as the OEM GM ones are tourque to yield and can only be used once. Plus the ARP on just oozes quality, and the OEM GM one looks like a galvanized deck screw:
Here is the belt I used for the 25% under drive (AC belt stays the same):
