Default V2 rear end in a V1?

alright all you little V "know it alls"....is it possible to put the rear end from the new V into the V1s?

it just popped into my head that since they did the V2 right, is there anyway to get that rear end in our cars. i dont know if it is a completely different platform or not, but it was a thought i had.

and if its even possible, would it be enough $ savings over going to a straight axle conversion with something tough *** like a ford 9"?

im planning on doing some mods in the future to get me into the 420-450rwhp range and i dont want to have to ***** foot it around until i get her moving.....

lemme know whatcha all think....

There was a discussion on the other board about this. If I remember correctly (sorry, too lazy to search right now), one of the dealerships was involved in the discussion as well. I think the end result was, yes it's possible, but you have to change the gas tank and a bunch of other stuff as well. The overall estimated cost was somewhere in the neighborhood of $4k, but there were still some questions about measurements and mounting, etc.

From what it seems like is thoseHendrix axles should take care of most concerns with the rear. I may be wrong though ?

Hendrix axles are along the same lines as what's going on in the 09 rear.
unequal length and diameter axles, to stop torsional flex at the same oscillation frequencies. IE: wheel hop.
