Had the shop cut the mufflers off, bend some pipe and put tips on it today. It is WAY smoother than I thought it would be and its not too loud, not too quiet. There is almost no popping at all. I think if I had gone with mufflers, I would have been disappointed.
So +1 for x-pipe + !mufflers if anyone is wondering.
I might be doing long tubes and !cats early next year...I think that might be overkill and I'll have to add bullets or something.
If I remember, I'll make some sound clips tonight.

I gave the mufflers to the shop..I forgot all about you needing a stock system. ![Tongue](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_tongue.gif)
I took some pictures but with it being so dark out, the pictures didnt come out well. I also did a video, but since its raining, I couldnt get the camera far enough away from the car. It sounds like a diesel truck on the video which is nothing what it sounds like in person..lol.
EDIT: Yeah they are 4" tips.

I sort of did the same thing, but wasted a whole sh*t load of money in the process. I bought the B&B exhaust with x-pipe, but wasn't loud enough for my liking, so cut out the B&B mufflers and added 4" tips. I love the sound now, and it's definitely loud.

Like I said, the camera is way too close to the car because it was raining so it doesn't sound anything like it does in person.
