I just did this a few days ago.

I used the MightyMouse plates on the rears. I cut 1 coil off all 4 corners and 1/3 inch off each bump stop.
I do have a bit of rub on the front when hitting bumps while turning (I'm using stock sized tires). I think it may be the wheel hitting the liner which may need some trimming (not sure yet though).
The rear still needs to come down a bit though, I may pull it off and do another 1/2 coil. I'll post some before/after pics.

personally i would have only done 1/2 on the front as they already look good stock, its the rear that need about 1 1/2 IMO

i like it! i might be doing that this weekend along with a few other goodies. i just need to figure out the rear spacer issue to keep the rear shocks from load leveling. ive been looking for an installed pic. no luck so far.

This is the only other one I have so far. Give me a few days which will give the springs a chance to settle and I'll try to get some more.

i see that you have the FG2 shocks. will it make a difference if its the FE4? will it be a little lower because the shock is not as stiff or does it matter?

It shouldn't change ride height with FE4 or FG2's...only the stiffness while in use is the difference between the two.

a-bomb, if we can get both the front and rear to have the same wheelwell gap that deedubb has in the rear i will be happy. His is just a little to low in the front IMO.

That being the case, I'd cut 2/3 to 3/4 of a coil on the fronts.

thanks for the link.

i found these two links most helpful:
installing bushings
http://www.cadillacfaq.com/faq/answe...cts/index.html

overall install
http://www.cadillacfaq.com/faq/answe...all/index.html (instead of installing the GC kit, just use your factory stuff, just a base to understand the process overall.)

I agree. For my tastes, my curb, and the Chicago roads I drive on, the front is a little too low. His back looks about perfect to me.

Not much spring settling will go on if these are the springs that have already been in your car for thousands of miles...

Ok.
I think I'll cut another 1/3 coil to start on the rears. I don't want to cut off too much then have to come down more up front as there isn't much room left

I'm in the same boat with my Eibach springs. I want the drop to be even, but it is 1.6 in the front and 1.2 in the back (only 1" with my current 2003RC51 spacers).

did you have to cut some coil off your eibachs?
