Default Cam installed today **Video**

So after 3 years I finally pulled the trigger on a mild cam. I wanted it to have good street manners as it is my daily driver. My shop (SNL Performance) said that due to my requests, their v.2 cam would be the best choice. It's the smallest cam they grind, but perfect for what I wanted. I'm not trying to hit crazy numbers. Just a nice lope and around 400rwhp/400rwtq (magic numbers). I ended up with 406rwhp and 418rwtq. I am restricted by my "hot air" intake. Right now I'm not worried about it. I like my numbers and love the sound.

SNL spent a lot of time and money developing this cam so exact numbers are unknown. What I can tell you is that it is 22x/23x .6xx/.6xx 111 lsa. I am very happy thus far. Its been raining so I haven't gotten on it hard yet.

More videos to come as the weather improves.

Nice cam. SNL did the grind but the dual springs and chromoly pushrods came from Texas Speed.

I was torn between this cam and the Texas Speed 228r.

Lol, this is a 'mild' cam now:

22x/23x .6xx/.6xx 111 lsa

Sounds great.

Those numbers are not realy a 'mild' cam though. Pretty close to what a have (a smidge bigger).

How are you liking the drivability of the cam? I am about to pull the trigger on the 228R myself and a mail order tune by frost until i can get to a dyno.

For some reason I'm always surprised when I hear that come out of a Cadillac. I really like the way it sounds.

I was torn between the TSP 228r and the SNL v.2. The 228r is a great cam, but the SNL v.2 is made for our heavy cars. After talking to Steve at SNL I was convinced. The pushrods and springs are from TSP.

Either way you will live it. The v.2 has a few tricks to smith out torque and help with drivability while sounding mean.

I think 900 for drivability. I am going to have it dropped a bit to get a little more lope.
