so there is no hi-flow cat option? What if you hacked up the stock cats to fit in the mid-pipes? in the same spot as these hiflowcats

You would be better off getting some Magnaflow high flow cats from Jegs, I am pretty sure they are the same ones that come in the Kooks kit.

I would be shocked if they were, the welds look too perfect for Pacesetters.
My guess is Kooks.

The lower pic is an older style TPiS header. Not sure what the other is.

I remember back in the day coming from a Mustang background, if you wanted to go real cheap you bought MAC (not the tool company). If you wanted a little bit better quality (still cheap, not the greatest) you went with Pacesetter. Maybe they got a lot better at making exhaust.

As long as the chevy dealer doesn't need it all week then it's going in over the next week.

i cant believe your actually putting uncoated mild steel headers headers on a car........good luck, just expect to spend another 300 within a year.

Throw some pics up!
Do the tubes match the flange - I.D. ?
Did you get or (need) o2 Extensions?
Which gaskets are you using?

Id like to see some pics. And to the OP, i would suggest taking those to a local shop and at least have them sprayed with some sort of protectant. Me personally, i would go with a jet hot coating...

You'll thank me in the long run but structurally, the headers are nice.

Coated headers are the ONLY way to go. With most Ceramic coatings dropping under hood temps around 250-300 degrees and keeping the headers looking as good as new for years to come it a very smart move.

Now days you are able to purchase headers coated from the manufacture although the horror stories that go along with are not that worth tossing the money out the window!

Give me a call and we can look at pricing! We sell pacesetters or you can send them in for coating all your choice, but remind me about this thread and I’ll get you set up with a 15% discount. Although IF you’re willing to wait a short time we are looking at putting together a group buy.... Maybe 10 people or so with a 25% off your purchases????

Does the coating with stand the expansion and contraction from a Mild steel such as what is being used when making the Pacesetter headers?
