Any Maggie tech guys around?
So I was getting ready to tune the caddy yesterday, noticed that the fuel rails where so hot I could hardly touch them. I'm wondering if there is a way for me to cool these down by insulating the rails somehow. The blower itself is very hot. Can I possibly add another water pump to move the water in the cooling system around a little better?
Also, the maggie kit I have came with 63lb injectors, which on GM's fuel pressure I believe is closer to an 84lb injector? Holy hell thats huge!! Why so big?
Next question, debating on getting in on the kooks GP, curious as to what kind of gains you guys are getting over stock manifolds. I would probably be going the 1 3/4 catted route.

FI, I would go 1-7/8". You will see huge gains over the stock manifolds with that blower on there. As far as heat, those blowers are known to get very hot! I'm not sure if you can add anything to it to make it cool any faster but that would be a good idea.
What pulley are you running? My buddy had the same blower on his c6 vette and with the small pulley, between heat and spinnin it hard, it didn't last long. Luckily they covered it under warranty. You could throw a 50 shot on it just to keep it cool when ur really runnin it. Prob pick up big power too but you would need colder plugs and a tune for it.

You pick up the maggie new or used? If used, a few guys would run the bigger injectors and ditch the magnavolt. If from magnuson, no clue!
As for the water pump, I have always wondered. Moving the water too quickly wouldn't give the HE time to transfer the energy. To slow, the maggie builds heat. I think it would be beneficial to add a slightly high flowing pump but that is strictly my opinion. I just dont think it moves enough water to really let the HE do its job.

In the cobalt world...... lol people have been running a second HE and bigger coolent tanks too keep the temps down. It works decent until you downsize the pulley and the blower becomes more of a heater then anything.

Larger heat exchanger would allow you to run on boost longer before heat soak. It may reduce intake temps if the exchanger isn't large enough, otherwise it may have a negligible effect. Larger injectors over a crutch is almost always a good thing. Isn't the intercooler mounted between the blower and intake? You could add some pipe foam insulation between the rails and blower to reduce heat soak from the blower case. With a supercharger, I think 1 7/8 headers would net you a bit more, and throttle response wouldn't be an issue with the larger headers. From OEM manifolds to headers on your application will net you far more than headers on an n/a application.

Double checked magnasun's tune yesterday and everything checks out. Not running rich at all, o2's look brand new!
