Default Anyone tried the Re-11's

I am having my tires installed for the CCW's on tuesday. I am going to run 285/35/19 rears and 245/40/19s on the front. I chose the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's because I know they are some pretty sweet tires, but haven't personally driven on them. I was just seeing if any of you guys had tried them yet and what you thought. Alot of weekend trackers swore by the RE-01R's and these replaced those tires, also they are supposed to out grip the 01R's and have a better lifespan. Anyways, what do yall think?

I haven't ridden the RE11s but from everything I've read about them they are a really great tire. The Dunlop Direzzas and Yoko AD08s are awesome tires as well, but I don't think they are available in the size you want. Bottom line is the RE11s are a good move IMO!

I've been very happy with my RE-01Rs, and as you said, the RE-11s are supposed to be an improvement in pretty much every way. I think you'll be very happy with them.

Hmmm, asymmetrical tread & no sipes in the the tread . . .relying on the groves for water evaculation. I hope your wet traction is still good once they get about 10k miles on them.
Your rear tire specs-out at 10.3"wide. My Hankook specs-out at 9.8"wide.
Let us know how that works, cause you are cutting it close to the trailing arms.
'good luck',
It's gonna look awesome.

Well luckikly the car is only driven on nice days and has only been caught out in the rain maybe twice, which was something i took into consideration. Hopefully these won't rub. Didn't realize they were 1/2" wider than the hankooks. Anyways they should be on tonight or tomorrowish, so I will report back with many pics and the fitment verdict! Thanks again for the insight on sizes Stepside!

Those tires look really nice, I hope they work out great for you.

Beautiful CCWs, I remember when mine looked that good...oh yeah, they only looked that good the first day, and I could never get them to look that shiny again. I will give you 6 months of metal polishing before you break down and get them powdercoated or chromed. Either way, nice combo.

Kinda scary in standing water. Otherwise, I loved the tire. Gobs of grip, pretty quiet on the road. I would do it again if I had the choice.

LOL that had to be what he meant.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I got them on today and they fit like a charm. SUPER smooth and SUPER grippy! Also, I couldn't get them to rub going diagonally up a very steep driveway. They're close, but do clear. I feel really good about them!
