^^ hows yours mounted?? Mine is just a piece of flat stock bent.
Theres a bolt that holds a bracket in the head, I just drilled the flat stock the same size and shoved it behind the bracket and tightened er back down...works like a charm.

Photo of an installation with the Mike Norris can. I like it in that location as it keeps the wiring harness in the OEM location, and puts it in an area that does not put it in contact with anything else. I tried mounting it on the head, but it was too close to the wiring harness. Someone else mentioned mounting it on the tensioner pulley bolt, and it worked out quite well. I was able to put the OEM wire harness support back on the head, and just cleaned things up a bit with wire ties to support the wires. Where the can sits, it does not come into contact with anything. To drain it, I loosen the allen screw, lift the can up out of the bracket, and loosen the petcock at the bottom. I do it every couple to three months. There is enough capacity in the can that I can go a couple more months than that, so I may wait 5-6 months next time.

Bumping an old thread. I bought a Mike Norris catch can a million years ago. I initially was going to mount it to the head, which I thought was the "normal" way to do it. However, when I mocked it up, that seemed kind of stupid, because that would make the set screw on the bracket inaccessible, so it would be a pain in the *** to get the thing positioned properly and to service the catch can. Since I didn't like that, I set the thing on a shelf, and haven't done anything with it for probably 5+ years.
I like the idea of mounting it using the tensioner mounting bolt. However, it seems like the wiring harnesses coming off the fuse box are more in the way than they are in lubelizard's pic.
I can smash the harnesses towards the fender a bit to make the catch can fit, but I'm never a fan of forcing things to fit. Have others had this same issue? Or are my wiring harnesses not routed the way they're supposed to be?

Looking at your photo, rotate the bracket end over end. That may create room. That's how mine is mounted. The allen screw is reachable. I put some heavy duty duct tape around the circumference of the can where the screw touches the can to keep the can from slipping down. It definitely captures oil mist that would have been destined for the intake. How well compared to the RX can, I have a feeling not as well, but far better than nothing.
I suggest doing an intake cleaning using the CRC or Amsoil products. You'll be surprised how much oil residue gets caked on the intake walls and valves.
I've had to unscrew the can from the mount to reach the drain petcock, and used a small bathroom cup to catch the oil. Don't have to do it very often, but then I don't OT like you do.
I'll try to take a photo and send it to you.

Might be able to make a real cheap one out of a sealed unit (air compressor components come to mind) with one line going in the top from the valve cover and one line going out the side to the TB... Oil is heavier than air and MOST will drop into your container.
Just make sure it is sealed or unmetered air will enter the engine after the MAF and cause problems
