Man I need to find some of those for my LS2 but I don't want to pay $120 for a piece of plastic that I'm going to cut up. Right now my LS2 is sitting naked.

I like how yours turned out...I was concerned about the gap along the inside at first. Did you say you removed your V emblems? Looks pretty cool with the raised logo it left. I wouldn't need to paint mine since mine is a silver car.... It does look like someone blasted mine with a pressure washer and blew the silver coating off the center already, which gives me more incentive to cut it out.

I really like Stageup's frc's, I think he used some from a GTO, and just sanded down the GTO lettering and replaced it with a V badge.

i was in the process of a DIY for the stock one, but alas, i never pass up a deal. the other LS2 FRC i found would like 200 to 300 bucks, and i would have felt terrible hacking one of them. $70 bucks shipped, and i was good to go.

Thank You, yeah i removed the V-logos, i really do like the raised v that is underneath it. If you cut your stockers i would plan on painting them, even if it is silver, it cleans up the cut edges and such. my car is silver too. I debate painting them silver one day, but i wanted to try black first, i figure it is an easy sand and repaint if i want to change the color. I am sure i will get bored one weekend and want to try out some other custom paint on them

GTO Covers

Also thinking of modding the stock cover as well, just for something different.

I will say that the GTO covers are a lot better looking than the Vette one.

I went with the GTO ones too. I liked the aggressive look to them. I used a flat black b/c I just thought it matched closer to the other plastic components and the stock intake. I definitely would have went gloss if I had Jason's FAST intake. I might paint them gloss black or maybe see if I can match the Stealth Gray someday...

If anyone is looking to cut one of the original V1 tuna boat covers (like in Fuzzy Wuzzy's post), I have two so I'm willing to part with my spare if you want one to cut and save your original.
