I ran across this on Ebay the other night....What was the salvage reason? I figured it must've been a salvage title bein an all over color change like that... IDK honestly...GLWS

PAint was done right it looks like, door jams and all that. But not a flattering color for the V IMO. NEither is the battleship grey with airbrushed rivets all over it on the other forum either.

Yep, the jambs were the first thing I checked when I saw it on Fleebay the other night....I just know when I see a ride that was offered with such limited colors like the V painted something off the wall like this, I think salvage.... That's just me....

I actually like the color. Why the salvage though?

I heard the DMV saw what color he painted it and they made it a salvage title. JK

It's interesting looking. But the pictures are all so close to the car, and in such bright sun, it's hard to get a feel for what it really looks like. Are you selling it, or did you just buy it?

I'm sure it looks much better in person. Although, I must say that the color just doesn't go with the front facia from what I can tell in the pictures. Looks like your paint shop did an awesome job. Was the car originally black, or did they re-coat the fender walls in the engine bay with a protective coating?

The reason for salvage was the car was in a collision, it spun out on an icy bridge and swiped both sides pretty good. It has two brand new complete unisides, four new doors, and both fenders all from Cadillac so no junk parts. The car came in and it was an insurance agents he wanted to buy a new m5 so he tried to make it total out, it should have been fixed. It was fixed at a insurance quality work body shop on the side. I am selling it I had the car for about two years, just had our third child so I just don't have the time to play with it anymore. As far as the color goes I wasn't looking to make it annoying or "flattering" I just wanted something different since almost everyone seems to go crazy painting it all black on black. If you want I can take some farther away pictures, I just got the close up ones so everyone could see that it isn't your typical hacked out salvage car full of bondo.

Thanks

Yes the car was also originally black. I wish people would consider coming out to see it in person it would sure make my life easier than answering all the dreaming ebayer questions lol. Is anyone considering bidding on it from here?

I saw it on eBay too the other day. I think it looks nice! It's different, that's for sure. Good luck with the sale, bro!

I love it...but am probably in the minority. The same idea crossed my mind a while back and I'm glad someone did it. Looks great man, good luck with sale.
