Default so what do some of you guys think about the Volant CAI?

I'm thinking of making a purchase before Christmas (by tomorrow, lol) for myself and came across a pretty good deal on a volant new. i searched but didn't come back with anything so i thought i'd see what experiences and suggestions you guys had...

I have the K&N and it heat soaks like a **** in the summer. Im gonna either modify the stock airbox to the k&n tube or just buy the volant. Id go for it.

I've got this on my car. It was on there when I purchased it. Can't give u much info but it looks and fits nice. Sorry I can't give ya more info, but on another note this did remind me I need to clean my filter. Lol

I bought and installed one when they first came out (four years ago?).

First off, it was a poor fit ... I had to use some weather stripping from Home Depot to "seal" the airbox. Secondly, if it added 1/4 hp, I'd be surprised.

i've been looking online and many are claiming some pretty good numbers. i guess i'll have to run a base line and then install it.

it uses your oem ducts too. install was kind of a bitch because it's so tight, but once you're done it's worth it. it's not a night and day different, but i don't feel much of a heat soak like before.

lol... i got it at marylandspeed.com through an ebay auction. Price was around $260ish and i had a 10% off through MyeBay. Might still be available so check it out. Think it ends 12/31

Does it at least sound better when you go WOT? You know, like hearing the throttle body open wide.

Or still pretty much like stock since it is an enclosed box?
